Chaat is massively popular street food in India. The variety is practically unlimited, but the one thing chaat cannot do without is the green chutney. Here is my healthy cheat aloo recipe:
Masalas needed - southindian4me red chilli powder
method
Parboil potatoes and toss in turmeric, salt, SouthIndian4Me Red Chilli Powder, cumin, some oil.
Air-fry at 180 deg for about 15 - 20 mins.
Toss now & again until golden crispy.
Top with onions and green chutney.
A twist of lime and some roasted cumin powder. (Roast half teaspoon of cumin in dry, hot pan until they pop and grind in pestle mortar).
If you want to go all out & happy with gluten & nuts, then toss in bombay mix or sev & roasted peanuts.
Enjoy!!
P.s. The green chutney from SouthIndian4Me is generously thick. Add a tablespoon or two of water to increase quantity without compromising on taste!
